Many are called but few are chosen

In today’s times the Word of God is evil spoken of, due to the overwhelming number of messengers that claim that they were called by God to preach the gospel.

The call for discipleship is wide and broad and it is extended to all mankind.

Jesus once reported a certain man saying, “ Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:61-62 this man was called but not chosen.

Jesus extended discipleship to another man and he said, “Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:59-60 this man was called but not chosen.

The Bible says that any man chosen to go to war for God that is concerned or entangled In the things of this world can not fight on behalf of God, For It is written, “No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. II Timothy 2:4

If you are concern and full of cares for the things of this world, then you may be called, but you were not chosen.

God’s elect are hand picked by Him and were chosen before the foundation of the earth.

Jesus hand picked his disciples for it is written, “And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. Mark 1:17

John the Baptist was chosen before he was conceived in his mother’s womb for it is written, “ Fear not, Zachariah: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shall call his name John. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. Luke 1:13 & 15

Jesus said to ananius that Paul was a chosen vessel unto him as well for it is written, “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. Acts 9:15-16

Jesus said that all those who God has given him for the work of the kingdom will not be lost for it is written, “ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. John 10:27-30

But the Bible does say, “ and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (Satan), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8

There are many people today representing Jesus Christ, but not all of them were chosen for it is written “ Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23

And again, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:11

The Truth of God’s word can only be delivered by a messenger that he himself has chosen to preach his truth for it is written, “ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15

But there are many self made messengers that were not called or chosen for it is written, “ For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:10-16

They are the uncalled teaching untruths for it is written, “For as much as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment.” Acts 15:24


Many walked with Jesus and they were called but they were not chosen for it is written, “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.” Luke 10:1

And again these same seventy showed that they were not chosen for it is written, “ Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, this is an hard saying; who can hear it? From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him” John 6:60 &66
“Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.” John 6:64-65

Jesus said to the twelve are you going to leave also? And they responded, “ Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 6:68-69

Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.” John 6:70-71

Many are called but few are chosen. It is not a choice to discipleship it is a destiny if your name is written in the book of the lamb before the foundation of the earth for it is written, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (Satan), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8

Many are called but few are chosen, Jesus already knows who it is that is falsely representing him. Jesus knows who is preaching in his name for money, preaching in his name for praise of men, preaching in his name for women, preaching in his name for fame and fortune, for their own glory.

Jesus says leave the un-chosen alone in their deeds, until the day of harvest and he will separate the chosen from the none chosen, the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats for it is written, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.” Matthew 25:31-33

Jesus also said let them alone in their religious practices stating that, “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch (Hell). Matthew 15:14

Those who are truly called know that they are chosen and will suffer and be hated by the world for Jesus namesake for it is written, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.” Matthew 24:9

And those that fall into the category of the many called but not chosen, will continue to believe a lie, fooling only themselves with the wide acceptance of the world, with their praise of their theologian degrees and ordinations of men, with their largely populated synagogues/churches, and their abundance of material wealth, until the day of our Lord and Savor’s return.

Then and only then will Jesus say to those who are not truly chosen, “ then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:23

If you are truly chosen of God then the following is also true about you;

Paul’s ordination was not give to him by man but by God, Paul’s knowledge was not obtained by man but also given to him by God for it is written, “Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) Galatians 1:1

The Bible says, “ examine yourselves to whether you be in the truth.”

Obedient to the will of God


Obedient to the will of God

Many of us today go about life looking to fulfill our goals, our desirers, our dreams, but is that what we were born to do?

Were we put on this earth to do our will or to do the will of God?

Many of us as adults have not been about God’s will, but Jesus at the age of twelve was all about the fulfillment of God’s will for it is written, “ and he said unto them, how is it that you sought me did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business? Luke 2:49

Many people today are all about their own business, and have no regard for God, this should not be.

The Bible says that we are to, “present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.” Romans 12:1

Jesus told us that, “ who so ever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:50

Are you the brother of Jesus, are you the sister of our Lord and Savoir, and are you the mother of the Messiah?

Many of us today make the mistake of thinking that sacrificing time for God is the same as doing his will. But God will have obedience and not sacrifice; attending a church is not doing the will of God, writing a check is not doing the will of God, being a member of a religious organization is not doing the will of God, for it is written, “ This people draw nigh unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” Matthew 15:8

I pray that you are not living the life of a hypocrite, saying that you are doing the will of God, but truly doing the will of the world (Satan) for it is written, “ but what think you? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented and went. And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, the first. Jesus said unto them, Very I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.” Matthew 21:28-31

Are we truly doing our Fathers will or doing our own version of His will?

No one can truly do the will of God unless there is a calling on their life by God for it is written, “ Many are called but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14

When a person is called by God then they are lead by the Spirit of God, and if you are lead by the spirit of God, then you are not lead by your own lust (will) for it is written, “ but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust (will) and enticed. Then when lust (their will) has conceived, it brings forth sin and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.” James 1:14-15

Are we being lead by the Spirit of God, when making our decision or are we influenced by another spirit?

Jesus confronted some religious leaders about not doing the will of God, but doing the will of another spirit for it is written, “You are of your father the devil, and the lusts (will) of your father you will do.” John 8:44

We have to ask ourselves, did the Spirit of God lead us to do this, was it God’s will that I should covet after riches or the will of my own, was it God’s will that I should purchase that new car or was it my own, was it the will of God that I should marry that man or marry that woman or was it my own will?

What are you being lead by, is it your career, a woman, a man, your children, money, or
Fame? Are you living the life of someone who is doing the will of God?

Phillip was lead by the Spirit to preach to the Ethiopian for it is written, “ The Spirit said unto Phillip, go near and join thyself to this chariot.” Acts 8:29

Peter was lead by the Spirit to preach to the people of Joppa for it is written, “ while Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.” Acts 10:19-20

Abraham was lead by the Spirit of God to move to a different location for it is written, “ Now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show you.” Genesis 12:1

We have to ask ourselves, did the Lord send us to teach these people the Word or did we do it on our own, were we told to move to a certain location or did we go about it on our own, did the Lord lead us to build that church or did we do it on our own, was that marriage of yours put together by God or did you do it on your own?

It is obvious that we have our own will, but would not our lives be better doing the will of God?

Jesus has his own will but preferred that the will of God be done for it is written, “ Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but your will be done.” Luke 22:41-42

God has a plan for our lives and would prefer that we be obedient to His will and not to have us go about our own will, while halfway serving Him.

Jesus even taught us to pray that the will of God be done in our lives for it is written, “ Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Thy (God’s) will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10

The example of not obeying the will of God can be found in King Saul, God told Saul to do one thing and he did another, so God sent his prophet to tell him of his mistake for it is written, “ And Samuel said to Saul, Thou has done foolishly: thou has not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel forever.” I Samuel 13:13

Another example of a person doing his own will was Jonah for it is written, “ But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tar shish from the presence of the Lord.” Jonah 1:3

But because there was a calling on Jonah’s life God’s will was still accomplished in his life for it is written, “ And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying, arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord.” Jonah 3:1-3

I pray that you are and will be obedient to the will of God, that you may fulfill your purpose here on earth.

Self-Examination



Self-Examination

When a person does not quite know what is happening to them physically they will attend a doctor for an examination. Sometimes it is not quite that serious and at this point the person performs a self-examination.

In a world where any and everything goes, one might have such a need of a spiritual self- examination.

Satan is the god of this world and has deceived many into believing all sorts of evil things for it is written, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4

When we begin exalting ourselves, thinking we are better than others, justifying our wrong doings, we may have lost our way.

The Bible says, “ Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know not, your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates? ” 2nd Corinthians 13:5

Many of us have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savoir, but have began to walk about living as thought we have never met him.

The Bible says, “ This people draw nigh unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:8-9

And again, “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:2-3

This type of behavior should not be found in a servant of Christ, however we are all subject to losing our way if we do not examine ourselves daily in the Word of God for it is written, “ be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was. But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty (The Holy Bible), and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:22-25

While going about our everyday life we are to examine ourselves hour by hour, minute by minute, to whether we are living the life of a follower of Christ, not taking a break from the Word of God to flirt with some lady, not ignoring God’s ways to yell obscenities with your friends about a football game, being forever conscious of the ways of God that we be not found guilty upon his return for it is written, “ take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21: 34-36

Jesus is scheduled to return according to the scriptures, I pray that we do not lose sight of this fact and begin to examine ourselves less and less.

Jesus shared a story with us about two men, one was a religious man which attend church every week and gave financially to that organization, the other was not a follower of religion and did not spend much time in a church.

One of these two was wise enough to examine himself truthfully and the other was living a lie for it is written, “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee (a believer in God), and the other a publican (a non believer). The Pharisee (believer) stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortionist, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican (non believer), standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.” Luke 18:10-14

Self-examination, many of us will check for breast cancer daily, some will check for wrinkles, another for hair loss, and others for prostate cancer, daily checks of the physical but nothing for the spiritual.

Beloved brothers and sisters I pray that we take our walk more seriously for it is written, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Roman 12:1-2

We are the light of this world and if our lights began to dim, how can we prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God?

We cannot become complacent! Thinking that we are doing God a favor, thinking we ought to be rewarded for living right for it is written, “ Does he (The Master) thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I say not. So likewise, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, “ We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” Luke 17: 9-10

My brothers and sisters in Christ I pray that you understand that Jesus die for the sins of the world and rose again that we may have eternal life, don’t lose your soul because you failed yourself-exam.

The Truth will make you Free


“The Truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

The opposite of the truth, is a lie, and the opposite freedom is bondage.

Satan is the god of this world and has built his kingdom upon lies.

Through his lies he has brought the whole world into bondage and turns the hearts of men away from almighty God for it is written, “ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4

Satan tells us the lie that we should love money and that it will make our lives so much better but the truth is, “ the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1st Timothy 6:10

Satan tells us the lie that God will understand if you have a little sex from time to time out of wedlock, but the truth is, “ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionist, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1st Corinthians 6:9-10

Satan tells us the lie that we need to obsess over our flesh bodies, but the truth is, “ For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 1st Timothy 4:8

Satan tells us the lie that we are obligated to live our lives for our Parents, our wives or husbands, our children, our brothers and sisters, and even our own selves, but the truth is, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26

Satan wants to keep us all in bondage, when the key to freedom is The Word of God and it is right at our fingertips.

Satan’s number one lie is to discredit the Word of God, to keep people from trusting the contents of the Holy Bible, God’s road map to living free from this world.

Through his lies we have become enslaved by fear, fear of being protected, fear of being poor, fear of being alone, fear of making a mistake, fear of getting older, and even fear of dying.

But the truth is that “ God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” 2nd Timothy 1:7

And again, “ For as many as are lead by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father.” Romans 8:14-15

Satan is a liar and the deceiver of mankind for it is written, “ You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8: 44

And again, “ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9

Satan doesn’t want you to read the Bible because it will expose his lies.

Jesus has warned us of Satan’s deception, he told us that Satan would attack the Word of God for it is written, “ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15

The Truth of the Word of God is the only way to be free from the bondage of this evil world and Satan’s lies for it is written, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, “if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

Satan wants people to be discouraged from the Word of God, he wants them to fall for his deception, by placing false preachers in the church for it is written, “ For then shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24

Satan has equipped his false preachers with such great lies that they are able to deceive most of the whole world for it is written, “ Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (I represent Christ); and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:4-5

But Jesus teaches us how to discern between Satan’s lying preachers and God’s truth speaking preachers for it is written, “ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits (actions).

But Jesus has given us his Word (The Holy Bible) that we may not be deceived, that we may be free from this evil world for it is written, “ and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8

Jesus has a place prepare for liars for it is written, “ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake, which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

Satan lie is to get you to love this world, but the truth is, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world pass away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1st John 2:15-18

Jesus teaches us that we will be hated by the world once you are free for it is written, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hates me hates my Father also. John 15:18-23

And again, “ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2nd Timothy 3:1-5

Satan wants to kill us all through his lies for it is written, “ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour; whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1st Peter 5:8-9

Don’t stay in bondage to Satan, escape and get free through the Word of God for it is written, “ I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:14-21

Remember, “ Let God be true, but every man a liar!” Romans 3:4
