A famine and recession proof God

A famine and recession proof God

The world today speaks of hard times.

Many have said it is the worst recession of all times.

The pastors and priest give false hope to the people, preaching a God of worldly prosperity.

This teaches people to focus on material things as the answer to their problems, when

The real truth is that a true servant of God walks through life recession proof.

No material or earthly thing has an effect on them for it is written, “ no man can serve two masters.” Matthew 6:24

For Jesus the Messiah once said, “ take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment (clothing)?”

These are the concerns of one who does not know God.

The true recession is the lack of real Bible teaching!

The doctrines that are preached cause people to enter in to bondage for it is written, “ Behold the days come said the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: and they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.” Amos 7:11-12

God never trained His children to depend on the world neither the things in the world.

God is our provider and all those who do not trust in Him are not His; for it is written, “ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world will pass away, and the lust there of: but he that do the will of God abide forever.” 1st John 2:15-17

Tuff times will come in this world God never said that they would not.

But it is written, “ I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaking, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25

And again, “ there has no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1ST Corinthians 10: 13

The truth of the matter is those who truly believe in God and believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him are free from any mental bondage connected to earthly concerns. Hebrews 11:6

For the Word will make you free!

As it is written, “ If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

God never intended for us to depend on earthly things for it is written, “ man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God.” Luke 4:4

When the Word of God is written in your heart and in your mind then the Spirit of God is living inside of you.

There is no longer any fear in you, no longer worry about everyday life for it is written, “ Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink or where withal shall we be clothed? For all these things do the Gentiles (people who know not God) seek: for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for tomorrow: for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:31-34

Moses and the children of Israel prayed to God to come out of slavery and God brought the out.

The disciples went out to preach but did not take any worldly things like money as a security blanket and they did not lack anything.

Jesus walked the entire countryside without concerning himself with the economy and was not ever hungry or thirsty or without shelter.

The birds of the air they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly feed them. Are you not worth much more than a bird to God? Matthew 6:26

A true believer in Jesus has been set free from earthly concerns, whether there is a recession or not it will not effect the way a servant of Christ lives their lives.

Wake up people!

A Recession?

Take you mind off of what you see happening in your life and focus on what the Word of God says about you.

God said, “ I will never leave you or forsake you.”

God said, “ You are His child and heirs to the throne with Christ.”

God said, “ No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

God said, “ If you keep His commandments you will abide in His love.”

Do you believe Him?

I pray that you do.

Walk by faith in God’s word not by sight in the material things of the pastors and priest.

God bless you

Sorry! is not repentance.

Sorry is not Repentance

Many people make the mistake of thinking that sorry is repentance.

You can be sorry for something and end up doing it again, but you cannot truly repent for something and start indulging again.

Repentance is the changing of the heart.

Seeing and acknowledging the wrong in what it is that you are doing.

Making a conscious decision to no longer participate in the thing that you are doing.

John the Baptist started the preaching of repentance, when he was sent by God to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus the Christ. Matthew 3:1-2

John preached that the old ways of the Law of Moses had ran it’s course and that the customs in which sins were forgiven would be no more. Matthew 3:7-12

No longer would God accept a person saying that they were sorry and giving an offering for their sin.

A man would now be expected to change himself on the inside and could no longer hide his sin behind the word sorry and an animal blood sacrifice. Hebrews 9:13-14

The Bible says that the Law was given to the world as a schoolmaster, it was never meant to be in place forever, only until the coming of the Messiah (Jesus). Galatians 3:23-25

The Law was meant to keep things in order until Jesus came to teach people to have order from the inside out through repentance and the Holy Spirit. Luke 16:16

Notice that as Jesus healed people, that He told each of them to, “go and sin no more.”

Notice that true repentance brings about a change of heart toward the sin in which one has committed.

For it is written, “ be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” Roman 12:1-2

And again it is said. “ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5

Mary Magdalene had sold her body for money, prior to meeting Jesus Christ. Luke 8:2

Once accepting the good news of the gospel, how that repentance was offered unto the most sinful people on earth Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Matthew 9:13

Jesus said to her, “your sins are forgiven you, go and sin no more.”

Now, did Jesus mean that she would not sin at all any more? Or was she to make the change in her heart that selling her body was wrong and that she could now see that there would never be any reason for justifying that particular sin anymore?

True repentance is performed on a case-by-case basis?

How can one repent for something they have not done?

How can I have a change of heart concerning drinking when I do not drink?

Why would there be a reason for you to repentance of a sin that you are not guilty of committing?

The answer is, you would not have to repent for something you did not do.

Which is why most people do not repent because they do not see anything wrong with what they are doing.

If a person was raised in a family where the father worked all the time, paid all the bills, stayed out drinking, sleeping with other women and the mother would not say anything about it.

That person while repeating the sins of his father would not know or think there was a need for repentance, seeing how in his own eyes this behavior was not wrong.

Repentance can only come by the Word of God.

Through the hearing or reading of the Word of God a person will begin to see what is right or wrong. Roman 10:17

Upon the revelation of their sin they will begin to feel very sorrowful and because of this feeling, want to change their life, looking never to repeat that sin anymore.

Repentance is truly a gift from God and can only be received by those who are called by God. Matthew 20:16

The rich man was given a chance to repent and did not.

King Herod was given a chance to repent and did not.

The religious leaders of John’s time were given a chance to repent and did not.

The people of Sodom & Gomorrah were given a chance to repent and did not.

Will you repent of the sins in which you commit? I pray that you will.

God bless until next time

Is money the Answer?

Is money the Answer?

Many people believe that money is the key to life.

From the time that we are born many are told that this should be their goal in life.

Perform well in school so that you can obtain a job so that you can get wealth.

Work hard so that you can be promoted to a higher position and increase in wealth.

Get wealth and you will get everything else, wife, children, houses, cars, boats, respect, power, the list goes on and on.

Everywhere we turn it is projected that obtaining money is what life is all about.

But money is not the key to life, for those who trust that it is are foolish.

Money cannot save you from death, it will not make you a better person, will not protect you from disease or disaster, will not stop your children from being hooked on drugs or alcohol, and will not stop your plane from being high jacked by terrorist.

It is written in the book of 1st Timothy chapter 6 verse 17, “ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God.”

Money cannot save you from death for if it could we would still see people like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Johnny Carson, Walter Payton, Princess Diana living today for they were very wealth.

But the truth is that only Jesus can save you from death, for it is written, “ Take heed and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consist not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.” Luke 12:15

Jesus constantly warns us not to chase after money, he tells a parable of a rich man who had done very well is business and this man spent most of his life to obtain his goal. So he had expanded his storage facilities to store his great wealth, looking to retire and live a wonderful worldly life, but when he was ready to do this God called him home, his life was over before he could spent it. Luke 12: 16-20

Another story Jesus tells us is the story of a rich man and a poor who both passed away.

Jesus says that the poor man was carried away by angels to paradise, but the rich man was buried and ended up in hell. Luke 16:22-23

As we can see that money does not stop us from dying!

Jesus says, “ No servant can serve to masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth). Luke 16:13

We were not put here on earth to chase after money for it is written, “ Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they (the birds)?” Matthew 6:26

And again Jesus tells us, “ Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?

For after all these things do the Gentiles (people who know not God) seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for tomorrow for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself.” Matthew 6:31-34

People that do not truly know God are those who are overly concern about money.

You cannot serve in the Army of Jesus and chase money for it is written, “ No man that warreth (goes to war for God) entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.” 2nd Timothy 2:4

Matthew 6:19-21 Jesus says

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust do corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust do corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

But there are many of you that think that you can do both, think that your giving of your abundance will buy your way to heaven.

You are sadly mistaken! Jesus takes the time to tell us of a little old lady that gave more than many men that were rich. He tells us how she put only 2 small coins into the collection plate and God saw it to be worth more than the abundant amount that the money chasers put in. Mark 12:41-44

You cannot do both, chase money and serve God.

For it is written in the book of 1st Timothy 6: 6-10, “ godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Is money the answer?

No! Jesus is the answer.

God bless you and may He grant you wisdom.

Until next time
