The Accuser of the Brethren

The accuser of the brethren

All temptation in this world comes from Satan, he is referred to as the tempter for it is written, “And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3

And again “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Matthew 4:1

Satan is the lowest form of creature there is, he is a double agent, a two faced rat, the same entity that temps mankind is the same entity that goes before God to accuse us of the sin we have committed as a result of his temptations for it is written, “ The accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

He plays us, looking to prove that we are not worthy of God’s love.

He means to have us feel unworthy of God’s love, to cause guilt to settle into our minds, stop listening to him!

He is a liar and the chief of lies for it is written, “your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

Today we will be clearing up some of these myths.
First of all let us know that on our own, that no one is worthy of God’s love for it is written, “ There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Romans 3:10-12
And again, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is none that calls upon thy name that stirs up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.” Isaiah 64: 6-7
Again finally, “ so like wise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, we are unprofitable servants, and we have done that which was our duty to do.” Luke 17:10

It is by faith in Jesus and his blood that we are seen as worthy for it is written, “ For by grace are we saved through faith and not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

This should clear up some of your self-guilt of feeling not worthy, which has been told to you by the accuser of the brethren (Satan).

Now let us focus on not giving the enemy any ammunition to accuse us before our Lord God.

The second thing we must understand is the responsibility that comes with the gift of God, understand what is expected of us as servants of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

We are to become a new creature in Christ, no longer obeying our old ways, living under the temptation of the devil for it is written, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;” Ephesians 4:22

We are to no longer obey the will of our flesh for it is written, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would walk in the spirit and you will not obey the things of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16-17

We are to present our bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable services.” Roman 12:1

When we do this it puts us in the position of, “Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.” II Corinthians 6:3

Therefore Satan cannot accurately blame or accuse us of something we are not doing.

No longer are we to use our time with idol things such as, television, politics, comedy clubs, and night life, we are to, “ Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8

The accuser wants us to take the ways of God lightly he wants to have something to say bad about you to God.

The third and final thing we must do is to operate in truth that we must be light in a dark world for it is written, “ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 1:3-4

And again, “ I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.” II John 1:4

When we learn to live our lives according to Christ Jesus we will walk in the truth and the accuser of the brethren (Satan) will no longer be able to tempt us and therefore he has nothing to accuse us of before God.

Jesus taught us the importance of walking in truth for it is written, “Whosoever come to me, and hears my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digs deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” Luke 6:47-48

Live your life upon the word of God and have the foundation of the Rock (Jesus Christ) and the accuser of us all will not be victorious in your life.

Until next time I love you
