Relying on the World

Relying on the World

In today’s times we are taught to believe that doing well is having an 850 credit score, that driving off the car lot with no money down is what we should look to do, that having an American Express card with no monthly limit is they way to go, we were programmed by Satan to trust in the credit of the world instead of relying on the words of Jesus Christ.

God never intended for man to live the way we are living, but Satan has programmed mankind to operate outside of the wisdom of the word of God for it is written, “Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” Luke 4:4

The entire world operates in the system of living indebted to someone else, and the United States has not learned it’s lesson yet, when the Bible says, “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.” Romans 13:8

The number one reason why people do not show love toward one another is because they are angry at each other over unpaid debts.

Many of us have come to depend on the system of the world to provide for our everyday needs, just as the children of Israel made this same mistake when counting on Egypt to be their provider rather than God for it is written, “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” Isaiah 30:1-3

Jesus left us a very important message on how not to rely on the system of the world for it is written, “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:31-34

This is a very different way of thinking from how you and I were raised in this world, to think that God would provide our every need would be unheard of.

But God provided for his people daily while they were in the wilderness for it is written, “And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wondered not what it was. And Moses said unto them, this is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat. This is the thing which the LORD has commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an om er for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an om er, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.” Exodus 16:15-20

People have been disobedient for a long time, God wants to provide for us daily but we want to store up things so that we don’t need to trust in God to provide.

“And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? See, for that the LORD hath given you the Sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:28-29

Jesus teaches us not to rely on credit, not to rely on the ways of the world, but to trust in him for it is written, “And he said unto them, when I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, nothing.” Luke 22:35

Jesus sent his disciples out into the world without credit, without relying on money, without some worldly connection, to preach the gospel and they did not lack anything for it was written, “ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Many of us will not trust in the words of our Lord and Savior, but instead will trust in the world to provide their everyday needs. This world’s system will always come up short for it is written, “ But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remains, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passes away. I Corinthians 7:29-31

But all that will trust in the world’s system are foolish to do so for it is written, “the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” Proverbs 13:22

Look how God provided for his people, “And I have given you a land for which ye did not labor, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and olive yards which ye planted not do ye eat.” Joshua 24: 13

If we would only be smart enough to trust in the words of Jesus we would witness men giving to one another with the love of God for it is written, “ The multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.” Acts 4:32-35

God is in the giving business, not the lending business for it is written, “ Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38

God intended for all mankind to love his neighbor as he loves himself, not to look for opportunities to take advantage of him for it is written, “Every man according as he purpose in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. II Corinthians 9:7

So I pray that you no longer trust in the credit of the world and look not to Egypt to help you in your time of need, but that you will turn to the Lord your God and that you begin to trust in the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that He may gladly provide for you for it is written, “ God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” II Corinthians 9:8

No more worldly way of living, but pray this prayer that you may never fall back into the world, “ Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.” Proverb 30: 8-9

The Accuser of the Brethren

The accuser of the brethren

All temptation in this world comes from Satan, he is referred to as the tempter for it is written, “And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3

And again “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Matthew 4:1

Satan is the lowest form of creature there is, he is a double agent, a two faced rat, the same entity that temps mankind is the same entity that goes before God to accuse us of the sin we have committed as a result of his temptations for it is written, “ The accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10

He plays us, looking to prove that we are not worthy of God’s love.

He means to have us feel unworthy of God’s love, to cause guilt to settle into our minds, stop listening to him!

He is a liar and the chief of lies for it is written, “your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

Today we will be clearing up some of these myths.
First of all let us know that on our own, that no one is worthy of God’s love for it is written, “ There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Romans 3:10-12
And again, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is none that calls upon thy name that stirs up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.” Isaiah 64: 6-7
Again finally, “ so like wise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, we are unprofitable servants, and we have done that which was our duty to do.” Luke 17:10

It is by faith in Jesus and his blood that we are seen as worthy for it is written, “ For by grace are we saved through faith and not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

This should clear up some of your self-guilt of feeling not worthy, which has been told to you by the accuser of the brethren (Satan).

Now let us focus on not giving the enemy any ammunition to accuse us before our Lord God.

The second thing we must understand is the responsibility that comes with the gift of God, understand what is expected of us as servants of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

We are to become a new creature in Christ, no longer obeying our old ways, living under the temptation of the devil for it is written, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;” Ephesians 4:22

We are to no longer obey the will of our flesh for it is written, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would walk in the spirit and you will not obey the things of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16-17

We are to present our bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable services.” Roman 12:1

When we do this it puts us in the position of, “Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.” II Corinthians 6:3

Therefore Satan cannot accurately blame or accuse us of something we are not doing.

No longer are we to use our time with idol things such as, television, politics, comedy clubs, and night life, we are to, “ Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8

The accuser wants us to take the ways of God lightly he wants to have something to say bad about you to God.

The third and final thing we must do is to operate in truth that we must be light in a dark world for it is written, “ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 1:3-4

And again, “ I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.” II John 1:4

When we learn to live our lives according to Christ Jesus we will walk in the truth and the accuser of the brethren (Satan) will no longer be able to tempt us and therefore he has nothing to accuse us of before God.

Jesus taught us the importance of walking in truth for it is written, “Whosoever come to me, and hears my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digs deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” Luke 6:47-48

Live your life upon the word of God and have the foundation of the Rock (Jesus Christ) and the accuser of us all will not be victorious in your life.

Until next time I love you

Is everyone to be Married?

Marriage

In today’s society marriage can be a very confusing topic of discussion, the world has deemed marriage to be quite different from what God has.

Marriage is a wonderful union between a man and a woman brought together by God to fulfill the will of God in both of, their lives.

So then, are all men and women to be married?

Today we will be finding out what The Word of God says in regards to Marriage.

There has been a great misconception being taught in the church today, teaching that all men and all women are to be married.

Many have taken the scriptures out of contexts looking to meet their own agendas, quoting, “ The Lord God saying, “ It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Genesis 2:18

Many have taught that this passage of scripture was pertaining to all mankind, when in truth, as it was quoted in Genesis 2:18 it was only pertaining to a certain man named Adam in this text.

The Bible never contradicts itself, so if all men and women were meant to be married then why does the Bible state the opposite of that teaching for it is written, “His (Jesus) disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, “ All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs (unmarried), which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs (unmarried) for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” Matthew 19:10-13

A eunuch is a man that has been castrated or a man that chooses to live their life unmarried and not fornicating.

Jesus lets us know in this passage of scripture that some people were ordained before the foundation of the world that they were not to marry but to serve God fully in everyway one example was John the Baptist.

Look what the Bible says about men and marriage, “ But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.” I Corinthians 7:32-33

And again look what it says about women and marriage, “ there is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.” I Corinthians 7:34

Marriage is a wonderful thing for those who God has chosen to be married it offers many wonderful benefits to those that are involved. Much Joy and happiness comes with the union of man and woman, many days of warmth, love, caring, and maybe even children.

The Bible says, “Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD.” Proverbs 18:22

But this statement only applies to the wife found in proverbs 31 and does not apply to all women, only the virtuous woman, which is described in the Bible for it is written, “ who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies?” Proverbs 31:10

But to preach that all are to be married is simply not the truth for it is written, “ So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her not in marriage does better.” I Corinthians 7:38

“The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. But she is happier if she abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.”
I Corinthians 7: 39-40

The Apostle Paul is the writer of this quote and he says that a woman will be happier being single and only living their life serving God.

No one can truly gage the happiness of another, but I can’t picture anything we could ever do here on earth with another person exceeding the happiness that comes with serving God.

Brothers and Sisters don’t get caught up in lies; if you can truly serve God and be married then God has truly placed the two of you together.

But if you are struggling to fulfill the will of God in your life because of the want of being married, then don’t lose your soul looking to please the opposite sex.

God bless you and much love on your journey for eternal life in Christ Jesus

Until next time
