Silver and Gold have I None

Silver and Gold have I none

How would you like to obtain something more valuable than money, more valuable than Gold or silver, more valuable than diamonds or any precious stones?

How would you like to receive something that would free you from all the things that concern mankind?

Today’s teaching is for those of us who have failed to understand that there is something far more valuable than earthly riches, for those of us who are living our lives in bondage to this world’s system.

Our teaching begins in the book of Acts chapter 3 where we find two of Jesus apostles Peter and John were on their way into a temple to teach and fellowship, when they came across a man begging for silver and gold (money).

They responded to the man saying, “Silver and gold (money) have we none, but such as I have I give unto you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6

Notice that what the beggar received of them gave the man the power to rise up, notice that what they gave this man gave him the ability to walk, only the Word of God can do this for a man.

Silver and gold (money) does not allow you to rise up above the concerns of this world, they do not allow you to walk free of this world’s system, which are ran by the devil.

Silver and gold (money), does not have any real importance to a true servant of God, but the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are extremely valuable.

True disciples like Peter and John knew this for Jesus commanded his disciples to go out into the world to preach and they were not to carry silver and gold (money) for it is written, “ provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses. Matthew 10:9

As we had seen in the book of Acts, Jesus disciples remained obedient even after He had died and risen for silver and gold (money) had they none, but they still had something far more valuable which was the Word of God.

Do you have something more valuable than silver and gold (money) to offer the lost souls of this world?

Jesus told a parable about a rich man who had plenty of silver and gold (money) to offer to those in need as well as his love ones. Luke 16:19

Jesus also mentioned a poor man named Lazarus who did not have silver and gold (money) but possessed something far more valuable, The Word of God. Luke 16:20-21

Jesus continues on by telling us that the two of them had past on from this world into the after life so that he could teach us what was more valuable to have, silver and gold, or the Word of God? Luke 16:22

Jesus tells us which of these two had the greater value for it is written, “ But Abraham said unto the rich man, Son remember that you in your lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted and you are tormented.” Luke 16:25

Silver and gold in this life, will not help you receive eternal life, however those who may not have silver and gold in this evil world, can receive eternal life when they are living a life founded on the Word of God.

Silver and gold have we none, but the Word of God we have plenty!

Satan has blinded the people of today through false doctrine to believe that the Word of God is not enough.

He has numbed the people to the power of the Word of God, the power to stand in the time of trouble, the power to love people when they hate you, the power to recover from your mistakes, the power to survive without this world’s provisions, the power to over come this evil world!

“Silver and gold have we none, but such as I have I give unto you.”

I pray that you receive this Gift that I am offering you today!

Please receive the most valuable Gift you will ever be given, take the Word of God!

Take it, study it, learn it, for it is written, “ This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” Joshua 1:8

After you have received the Word of God give it to your children from the time they are born for it is written,
“ And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in your heart: And you shall teach them diligently unto your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lay down, and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7

After you have put away the evil teaching of silver and gold (money), share to true riches of the Word of God, that you may learn who your true family and friends are for our Savior said, “ Who is my mother, sister, and brothers? And he looked around about on them which sat with him and said, “ Behold my mother and my brothers! For who so ever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Mark 3:33-35

After the true revelation of this gift has settled in you, then share it with the world for it is written, “ preach the word, be instant in season, out of season: reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2nd Timothy 4:2

And again, “ Jesus said, “ What I reveal unto your ears, you are to preach upon the housetops.” Matthew 10:27

The Word of God is far more valuable than silver and gold (money); I pray that you get your priorities in order before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

Remember God’s Word is not forced upon anyone; a person must come to the understanding that the Word of God is more valuable than silver and gold (money) on their own.

The Word will make you free!

Until next time I love you

Holier than thou

Holier than thou

There are many people in this world that profess to know God, many of them ignorantly going about their life exalting themselves and condemning others.

The Bible says, “ You therefore which teaches another, do you teach yourself also? You that preaches a man should not steal, do you steal?” Romans 2:21

No one has the right to judge anyone else, for it is written, “ Judge not, that you be not judged. Matthew 7:1

But many people in their religious beliefs have become self-righteous, holier than thou if you will, forgetting that they too were once lost and in need of the direction of Jesus Christ.

Jesus once said to a crowd of people who were looking to judge a lady caught in the act of adultery, “ he that is without sin, let him cast the first stone.” John 8:7

The crowd of people, being convicted by their own conscience, began to leave one by one until there was none. John 8:9

Jesus then asked the woman whom had committed adultery, “ where are your accusers, where are the people who meant to condemn you?

She responded, “ there are none, they have all left.” Jesus then said, “ neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.” John 8:11

If anyone was holy enough to judge someone else it was Jesus the Christ, yet Jesus showed compassion for the sinner.

We have to be careful not to condemn one another, not to become wise in our own eyes, thinking ourselves to be holier than thou and looking down on others for it is written, “ Therefore you are inexcusable O man, who so ever you are that judges: for wherein you judges another, you condemn yourself; for you that judges does the same things.” Roman 2:1

The religious leaders thinking themselves to be holier than thou began to judge the disciple of Jesus Christ saying, “ your disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.” Matthew 12:2

Jesus responded by asked them, “ have you not read?” Matthew 12:3

Jesus concluded with, “ but if you had known what this means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice you would not have condemned the guiltless.” Matthew 12:7

Jesus was letting us know that if we have truly read the Holy Bible and understood it, we would not become judges of one another, we would not deem ourselves to be greater than others, we would not act as though we are holier than thou.

We are to live our lives free from this world, we are not to be partakers of the evil in this world, but we are not to become condemners of this world for it is written, “ Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven.” Luke 6:37

And again, “ God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17

There is a thin line between being rooted in Christ and being lost in religious beliefs, which leads to self-righteousness.

It is written, “ A man is not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Romans 12:3

And again, “ The disciple is not above his master, nor is the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord.”
Matthew 10:24-25

Jesus could have acted holier than thou but Jesus did not act holier than thou, so neither should we.

So what are we to say about those who are clearly ignoring the ways of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ, about those who have no regard for the commandments of God?

Jesus is our example on what we are to do for it is written, “ who so ever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Matthew 10:14

And again, “ shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.” Luke 9:5

In other words let them linger in their ignorance and do not condemn them to hell, as if you have a heaven or hell to put them in, but leave them to the judgment of almighty God himself, not deeming yourselves to be holier than thou.

So what are we to say about those who profess to know God, but are clearly misrepresenting the ways of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ, about those who have gone about creating their own form of righteousness?

Again Jesus is our example on what we are to do for it is written, “ When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they shall have their reward.” Matthew 6:5

In both examples Jesus did not make himself to be better than anyone else, Jesus did not condemn anyone, Jesus did not send anyone to hell, but he left them to continue in their ignorance until the Day of Judgment.

Jesus said that there is a day of judgment coming for us all, the question that you want to ask yourself is, “ do you want to be judged as a fool who thought that he or she was holier than others, or as someone who was wise enough to follow the example of Jesus?”

I pray that we all remain very humble and leave the foolish to their foolishness until the return of our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ, and until the Day of Judgment upon this evil world.

Until next time, I Love you
